Sustainability:

Transdisciplinary Theory, Practice, and Action

STTPA 2020

About

Our world is at the tipping point. We have undermined the conditions for sustainable existence, with no choice but to pull ourselves from the brink. Sustainability is the core challenge of our era. No academic discipline, corporation, country, first nation, government, or organization can achieve sustainability alone. We all have a role to play in the path towards sustainability.

Our Areas of Focus

Energy Use

UTM and a few other universities have signed a charter, pledging to adopt responsible investing practices

Waste & Recycling

Our campus currently collects glass, plastics, metal, paper, electronics, batteries, and more!

Water

Initiatives: banned single-use bottled water & collected rainwater's used for irrigation and flushing toilets

It is individual efforts, collectively, that makes a noticeable difference
